Newport Harbor Shuttle

While you are on the Newport Harbor Shuttle you will see many types of watercraft: Schooners, Mega Yachts, Sailboats, America’s Cup Racing Yachts, Lobster boats and others.

Other items of interest are Lighthouses, Fort Adams, Mansions, Goat Island and the beautiful coastline with the wharfs. Remember you can hop off at any stop and hop back on after you have explored and shopped. This is the best and least expensive way to see Newport. We welcome you aboard.

Goat Island is a small island and is home to the Newport Harbor Light (1842), residences, a restaurant, event space, and hotel. In the past it was also home to several military forts. Great views of Downtown Newport and the harbor and on opposite side of the island (5 minute walk), fantastic views of the Newport Bridge.

Fort Adams is a former United States Army post that was established on July 4, 1799 as a First System coastal fortification, Fort Adams Trust has tours at the fort from May to September.

Perrotti Park has public docks and the Harbor Center. It is the center for Maritime transportation in downtown Newport. The Harbor Center offers public restrooms and information on the harbor and Newport. Our shuttle leaves every hour on the hour.

Ann Street Pier is centrally located at the beginning of Lower Thames Street. This historic area still has many wharfs where people dock their boats. Along the street and on many of the wharfs there are many different types of restaurants and unique shops and boutiques. This really is what you would expect Newport to look like. Don’t miss the Whitehorne House Museum is just 2 short blocks away from this stop, it displays the craftsmanship of cabinetmaking and related arts from the 1700’s Newport. The museum’s beautiful collection, is housed in the restored Federal-style mansion built in 1811.
